CalArts Jazz 2009 - 20th Annual CD

traditional West African song
arranged by Andrew Lessman
We dedicate this arrangement to master drummer Alfred Ladzekpo who taught us this Ewe piece in its traditional form. It is typically performed on an ensemble of Ghanaian drums together with dancers, and can last from 20 minutes to over an hour.

Based on a 16th century North Indian classical song,
taught by Aashish Khan,
original arrangement by PremaSoul.
